Inspection Checklist

How to Inspect a Used Excavator Before Buying

Used excavator inspection checklist for overseas buyers. Learn how to check engine, hydraulics, undercarriage, cabin, bucket, videos and inspection support.

1. Check Engine Start and Sound

Ask for engine start videos. The engine should start smoothly, idle steadily and avoid abnormal smoke or unusual noise.

2. Watch Hydraulic Movement

The boom, arm and bucket should move smoothly. Slow movement, shaking or oil leakage may indicate hydraulic problems.

3. Inspect the Undercarriage

Check track chain, rollers, sprockets, idlers and track shoes. Undercarriage repair can be expensive.

4. Request Video Inspection

For overseas buyers, live video inspection helps confirm the real machine condition before payment.
